I am currently moving between 2004.7 and 2006.10. I am having a problem with any of the discontinuities models finding the width of the part next to it! Is there a patch planned or am I missing something. It's not very consistant, an error is sometimes generated one after another. Until,I have entered the values for all of them to solve the problem. But this always takes more time than should be needed.
You're actually in luck. GENESYS 2004.07 would use a value of 10mils if it couldn't find a width of a part next to it, with no warning. 2006.10 warns you that it can't find a width.
My best recommendation would be to use standard discontinuities rather than discos. With standard doscontinuities we use the symbol connections to determine relatives. With GENESYS discos (which have only one terminal) we use the schematic drawing to determine relatives - and that works if and only if your schematic is very regular.
Another approach is to fill in the neighbor widths yourself using equation variables and then, of course, it isn't an issue.
