Hi,
Where can I find the model of ferrite bead in GENESYS2007.3? If not, is there other alternate way to simulate ferrite bead?
Thank you.
Mia

A fairly effective model is a small inductance in parallel with a resistor. At higher frequency capacitance to ground at both ends or capacitance in parallel with the R-L is helpful. For example, a single wire through a small bead of #73 material with an intial permeability of 2500 has a measured impedance that is well modeled by 700 nH in parallel with 70 ohms.
The best source of impedance data is from the manufacturers and distributers of the ferrite material such as Fair-Rite, Stackpole, Amidon, Indiana General, Magnetics, Ceramic Magnetics and others.
Once you have measured data you can create your own models for convenient use in GENESYS. These may be impedance data tables or equivalent circuits as described above. There are tutorial videos and examples for creating user models for GENESYS.
