Will IC-CAP 2006B run on the new Windows operating system VISTA, home or professional? I need to upgrade the PC and they are shipping with VISTA. Thanks.
VISTA OS was not tested with IC-CAP 2006B, therefore it is not formally supported. We are not aware of users running IC-CAP 2006B on VISTA, so we do not have feedback/info as to if it is viable or not. Our official recommendation would be, for running IC-CAP 2006B, to use a supported OS, for example Windows XP. Alternatively, you can try it with VISTA, but w/ awareness it is has not been QA tested and is not supported, so there is some risk involved. VISTA OS is targeted to be supported for IC-CAP 2008, and if it is found to work well, it will be supported for that release. If it is found to be problematic re: robustness and/or supportability, support for it may be postponed to a later release or Add-On.
