With IC-CAP 2006, the installer was changed to be a java based universal (e.g. OS independent)installer.
This change has impacted the speed of the installation.
No technique is currently known to speed it up, other than the general idea that installation will probably be faster, the less other processes are loading the machine etc. If any means is identified to speed up the new universal installer, it will be implemented as soon as possible.
