Hello, everyone,

sorry for asking again.

I am still doing the package simulation. This time, my question is about the metal plating definition.

in my simulation, e.g. the metal plating in between the ceramics is the Au with its thickness 1 micro.

I tried two different methods to do the simulation.

1) In geometry, use the "Extrude" and define its thickness in the final step to 1 micro;
2) In geometry, use the "Sheet", and then use "Modify" to THICKEN the sheet to 1 micro.

In my simulation, method 1 would cost much more time than the method 2.

My question is:

Is there any differences between this two methods of metal plating defining?
Are there any rules to follow? e.g. ceramic substrates (FR4) should use the Extrude (since its thickness is usually certain mm), metal plating should use Sheet (since its thickness is usually in micros)?
