There appears to be a bug in the current range selection. With a load of ~500uA, the current is displayed fine at a 10mA range, but is overload at 1mA (video clip attached). Has anyone else seen this?

Yes, I did already observe this behaviour on 1uA/10uA range.
This is no instrument fault.
Your current already looks unsteady, indicating a lot of noise/spikes on top of the DCI component.
This noise exceeds the 1.2mA limit of the 1mA range, leading to overload.
There is no averaging of this noise, the AD measures all signals directly.
That means, there is no more compliance than the F.S. value.
You might see this noise by using Digitizing DCI mode, 10mA range.
