If you just want to read in one S-parameter file and use it as your transistor in your simulations then do the following:
- insert a S2P component in your schematic - Point to your S-parameter file for the File parameter - Set file type to Touchstone (or whatever format you may have)
optionally you can save this simple design as a subcircuit and use that as your transitor in your design(s)
You're mentioning ".s2p files" - do you have several S-parameter files for a single transitor - each representing one bias point. You can bundle those S-parameters together into an S2P_MDIF file and create a component which can give you the right S-parameters vs bias. Here's an example on how to do that:
or when you say build a transistor - do you mean that you wish to create a non-linear model in ADS based on your small signal measurements? In that case, please study the example /MW_Ckts/AmodelB_prj which shows how to optimize a model to match measured data.
