Hallo,
are there further documentations available how the oscillator simulation with OscPort is implemented beside the documentation that comes along with the simulator?
My oscillator does not oscillate and the error messages are not clear to me.
It is written, that at first a linear sweep is executed and it seams it fails. However, a small signal simulation with OscTest finds it. What is the difference?
What does
Oscillator guess type 1
Oscillator guess type 2
in the status window mean?
Best would be a flow chart, with parameters listed that affect the particular stages and potential error messages that could come from this stage and hints how to resolve them.
Thanks for your help,:)
Wolfgang

thanks for your hint that using node voltages give better results in general.
I tried it and still have the same problems.
For some component combinations the simulator does not find an oscillation in Harmonic Balance although small signal loop gain is fine, and for similar situations it does find it.
The basic problem is, that the analysis process is not transparent to me and that I can only guess what is going on.
