I am trying to create a layout component in ADS2002c and would like to spcify different mesh densities for different primitives in my layout, i.e, for lines and ground structures.
Even though I have the 'layout' button selected in the 'momentum simulation control' section of the components 'model' tab, when I run a schematic simulation using this component, it doesn't observe the primitive settings and seems to revert to some previous or default mesh setting.
Also, the mesh generates looks like 'crazy paving' instead of the regular pattern you usually achieve if pre-computing mesh directly through layout.
Any ideas ???

Or you can draw those primitives that you think require primitive meshing as individual pieces. Note that this may complicate your ability to parameterize a layout component, though.
In general, primitive meshing is not needed. There are very few cases where it is required such as for some TFR resistor layers.
