I noticed that the models I created using the Advanced Model Composer (AMC) produce a layout that includes my launchers (I use port extensions). How do I change this? I rather see a solution that does not require me to re-simulate the AMC models since they are very time consuming... Perhaps it is possible to make my AMC models use the layout macro for the built-in component (e.g. the microstrip Tee macro)? Any details on how to proceed are very welcome.
In order to simulate junction models that have the same artwork as built-in parts do, one must start with that model in the layout and then use the "Subnetwork" definition in the Layout Component Parameters dialog to associate parameters with the existing discontinuity. There might be a need to place a short piece of transmission line (negligible electrical length) on the discontinuity as in ADS2003C, there is a defect that prevents the models from simulating if the port reference planes cross each other while touching the layout.
