I am trying to characterize a mosfet and choose its width. My objective is to bias the mosfet with a specific drain current and then sweep its width (and frequency for NFmin) and plot Ft,Zin,IIP3,P1dB, and gm vs. width as well as NFmin vs. freq and width. My guess is that Harmonic Balance and some other simulation controllers are required. I'm just not sure how to "fix" Id during the width sweep or how to set up the sources and loads. This seems like an important capability but I haven't found any examples so perhaps it isn't possible to collect all this information in one simulation. I'm not sure. But I would love to hear any suggestions. In case you haven't guessed yet, I'm working on an LNA.
