My problem is like that, in a lot of ADS examples i have seen that using S-parameters analysis simulation controler you can calculate the NF of an amplifier using its Spice model. Is that correct ?
I have tried myself comparing the spice results for the noise figure with the ones provided from a manufacturer and found different answers. The device i used was a philips one, BFG41,where a spice model was provided and a S parameters with NFmin as well. The results didnt much at all.
Any help will be apreciated

My solution at the time was to 'fudge' the Rb value until the circuit analysis results and the noise parameter results matched. it did not take very long. The factory contact at Philips concurred with this approach.
Hope it helps.
