Where are my Purchased Synthesis Modules ??

Question asked by MZachmann on Jul 11, 2003
You may have noticed that the Synthesis menu in 2003.03 is much shorter than it used to be. You have lost nothing in transition.

The menu options in 2002.09 did nothing but bring up a dialog telling you to click the workspace tree. This seemed rather silly so I removed the menu options. This way new users don't get confused by menu options that literally do nothing and my assumption was that experienced users had already been trained to right-click.

  So.... explicitly....

If you right-click the mouse in the workspace tree (usually lower left in GENESYS)  on the Synthesis folder and select "Add Passive Filter" (for example) this executes the (optional) passive filter module. The picture below shows that behavior.

Optionally....

You can use the Workspace / Synthesis menu option and add syntheses there from the New button, as well.

We plan to change this interface in the next major release, since I'm not a fan of right-click as the primary access mechanism. Suggestions are always welcome.
