GENESYS saves lots of data in the .wsp file (e.g., EMPOWER intermediate results, data from external S-parameter files, etc). Is their a "purge-all" command that allows me get rid of all this saved data and minimize the size of the .wsp file?

You can right click on a particular analysis and choose "Delete Internal Simulation Data" before saving.
