It can be difficult to distinguish wires in the schematic capture that intersect or merely overlap. If a line does not intersect a line it crosses, then that line could turn into a small semicircle or "jump-over", thus showing that the wires do not connect at that point. I understand that a node appears where two wires intersect, however that dot can disappear after a couple iterations of photocopying, or a poor image file can often make them hard to distinguish.
