How to restart the Eagleware server manually

Question asked by vhlopez on Mar 13, 2009
If you need to restart the Eagleware license server, but don't wish to reboot your PC, you can follow these steps:

[list=1:sah5woew]
  • Open the "Services" window. On Windows XP systems this is located under Start\Control Panel\Administrative Tools\Services

  • The services are listed in alphabetical order, locate the one called "Eagleware License Server (see image below)

  • Right click the service name and select "Stop", the "Status" will change from "Started" to blank

  • After 10 to 15 seconds (needed for the O.S. to release the port), Right click the service name again and select "Start"

  • The server should be running now, check the log file (Start\All Programs\Eagleware Server\Read Server Log) to confirm that the licenses are available
