I finally got around to installing Genesys 2004.7.
I loaded in a file that was written in Ver 6.5. This is a text file, not a schematic. In this file I used the SUB command and MLI. It seems the loader generated a SUB Default. I changed the default to have the same parameters as the ones that were in the SUB statement, making sure that the units were also identical (mils). Problem is that the results are substantially different than I get with ver 6.5. I also noticed that changing the parameters in the Default file for the substrate does not seem to change the results in the simulator. I am sure that I am doing something wrong but haven't been able to figure it out. Would appreciate any assistance.
Thanks
Jim

Off Topic: Thanks for the personal email. Astrophysics - interesting. How complicated are the simulation routines and parameters? What are the input parameters? Anything other than initial mass, diameter and composition? Can PC run reasonable simulations? Suppose I ought to Google the subject.
On Topic: How about attaching the file you are struggling with and posting at the Product Question Forum. It'll make it easier to investigate and if there is a bug those guys log it in. A text file - Wow! I haven't used one of those in years. You may be one of a few testing text files!
