E4444A Benchlink running under Windows 7

Have successfully run E4444A Benchlink software with E4411B analyzer, on an Acer XP (SP3) notebook.

Trying to run software on new Dell notebook under Windows 7. Software finds the E4411B and establishes the link, but then raises a dialog box "Agilent Benchlink Spectrum Analyzer does not support the instrument - E4411B ".

Tried Compatability mode settings of XP SP3, SP2, and NT4 (SP5), but same result.

Anticipating some problems with older software running under W7, ordered the Dell with a Virtual XP Mode provided. Once into the virtual OS, ran the install of Benchlink there. Able to connect and run software OK in the virtual OS.

Anyone seeing compatability issues with Benchlink software and W7 ?
