Hallo to all. Anyone says me because my hp 8562a don't execute correctly the amplitude calibration procedure when switched on. Only after a warmup and presets recall the amplitude is ok. Thanks.
I've got some questions to help narrow it down more.
Does your analyzer give an error on it's own at start up? Is it an "RF Adjust Status" or "IF Adjust Status" error?
Is this a problem that only happens when the analyzer is cold? So I think you are saying that if you let the analyzer warm up, and then quickly cycle the power the problem won't be there, but if you let the analyzer cool off overnight and then turn it on the problem will be there.
Can you give some more details about what problem you are seeing?
Thank Joseph for your interest in my question. The problem is present when I turn on the machine for the first time in the day but sometimes it work well, it seems as a casual condition. The analyzer don't show any error message and when I connect the tracking generator out to in, It show a bad flatness like if the problem was a bad response in frequency. What do you think about?
i would check the level and frequency of my calibrator signal, it could be that its marginally off at cold temperature , you can go to the manual under performance tests and go by the procedure listed there
