Connector Simulation Accuracy in Momentum

Question asked by Chemic on Sep 1, 2009

I designing a planar antenna, connected to a PCB using a connector. Basically the connector has the form of a hook and is slanted with respect to the PCB plane. the total conductor length is 2.4mm, and I model it as a vertical 1.3mm high VIA in momentum, using 3D model. The problem is that in no case I was able to match measurements and simulations: the radiation pattern corresponds to the measures, but the antenna feed impedance is extremely far from the actual one. Is that possible that the model is not accurate enough? Or is there a limitation for ling vias in Momentum?

Thanks for the replies.
