Hi,
Did anybody try to transfer a project from HFSS to EMDS ?
I have checked the export / import functions. Best result was a GDSII file for the transfer. Somehow HFSS exportet layers, and this layers have been mapped into the first layers of the EMDS layer pallete. But of course there is no stackup created.
Is there any better way to exchange date between this tools ?
regards
Hermann

If you have not received an answer, the answer is that you export ACIS version 3.0 from HFSS. You should be able to import that into EMDS. The rason why you need to use such an old version of ACIS is that EMDS is based on AutoCAD, which seems to have frozen their version of ACIS at 3.0 many years ago. I export from HFSS to AutoCAD on a daily basis this way. Your material information of course will be lost. Good luck to you.
