At the moment we are considering to replace the Agilent 8753E Network Analyzer by an E5071C. The 8753E has become obsolete and is no longer technically supported by Agilent. The E5071B and C are the recommended replacement products. However, looking at the instrument library in ICCAP, it seems that this product is not supported by ICCAP. Is this correct? Is it perhaps compatible with another driver?

Yes, you are correct that IC-CAP does not currently directly support the Agilent ENA series network analyzers. This may change in the future, but I am not aware of any firm plan at this point. Instead, we support the PNA series network analyzers as described in the following document:
IC-CAP 2002/2004/2006: Support for Agilent ENA E507x (Ex: E5071B) network analyzer?

If you want to use the ENA with IC-CAP, I would consider one of the following approaches outlined in this document to try and control ENA/import your data into IC-CAP(You could try Option #1 aliasing, but IC-CAP team has not thoroughly tried it, not sure how close the PNA IC-CAP driver would be to the command set for the ENA or whether it would work for your case):
