Generating Gerber File from ADS

Question asked by garypang on Aug 3, 2011

I am new in using ADS to design PCB and would like to get some help regarding gerber files.

I am trying to use ADS to design and simulate a PCB design and I understand that ADS can generate gerber file in .gbr format.
Normally, the file extensions for the gerber file that we sent for fabrication will be .gto, .gtl, .gbo, .gbl (up to which layer it is) and .drl for the drill file.

I would like to know whether the .gbr file generated by ADS are compatible with the normal gerber file (.gto, .gtl, .gbo, .gbl, etc.) and can ADS generate drill file as well?

It will be very helpful if someone can help in this matter.

Thank you in advance.
