Erroneous attenuation factor after switching probes on 6000

Question asked by tjkotula on Feb 7, 2010
When I switch between two different probes - a standard 10073C and a third party x500 differential probe, my MSO6034 incorrectly restores attenuation factor. To reproduce thus bug connect a 'manual' probe and set the attenuation factor to 500. Then unplug it and plug in a standard probe. After that unplug it and plug back the manual one. When I do this the scope sets the attenuation factor to 501. This really stuffs up channel sensitivity. It's only a minor inconvenience - easily fixed by resetting the probe attenuation.

I'm using the latest V5.26 system software, however I remember seeing this bug as long as I remember - just never reported it.
