I had to do a restore from backup and all seems to be working except now the scope does not recognize my setup files. Is there some special method to import setup files back? Don't tell me I have to create them all over again. Thanks

Unfortunately, your set-up files are no longer on the hard drive. The recovery partition only contains XP, Infiniium application software (initial factory version), factory calibration factors and any factory installed options.
When the recovery partition is used to recover the working partition, the process reformats the working partition (where your set-up files resided) and then copies the recovery partition to the working partition.
Although recoveries are not option needed it is a good idea to periodically back up set-up files as well as any other files you wish to protect. They can be backed up on a USB drive or another drive via LAN.
