EIA-485 and the MSO7054A

G'day All

we are developing a distributed sensor system with the physical layer based on EIA-485.  The serial comms is typical UART ie StartBit, DataBits, Parity, StopBit and the speed is 250 kbit/s to 2 Mbit/s depending on the distance.

We really need a tool to debug this system and we are looking at buying the MSO7054A with the N5457A 232 (RAS232/UART) option.

Given that EA-485 is a differential signal of >200mV my general question is will this combination do the job?

Some specific thoughts I had were -
Will I need a differential probe like the 1141A or can I use 2 channels and use waveform maths?
Can I set the logic threshold to EIA-485 levels?

Hope someone can shed some light on this.
Cheers
