Upgrade your X2000 or X3000 to the new 2.10 firmware. The noise you guys were complaining about is fixed. I'm satified and I don't have to tear into it and make all sorts of modifications on my DSOX3024. The new firmware also supports a USB Keyboard and they added an on screen "Annotation". You can also use Control codes to access functions like Cntl "T" for trigger or Cntl "U" for utilities.

Nice if Willco788 can come with some more details about what he found as fixed in the new firmware (noise problem).
There are two aspects in this noise case: 1.The software treating of the signal to filter out the eventual noise, or lower the noise level. 2.The hardware treating of the signal in the internal circuits, to minimise the (electrical/EMI) noise in to device it self.
I`m very sceptic about fixing by the new firmware of the hardware noise problems... If it was fixed something in the new firmware, an more minimising of the noise over the signal, then it is about an more (sophisticated/improved) filtering through the scope software... I personally do not think is a very basic solution (by software) to get in fact rid of noise problem. But an improvement is always welcome...
