The simulator supports more ports for the S*P_Eqn component than what is provided with a standard ADS installation. I think it supports up to 99 ports, although I'm not 100% sure. You can create your own S8P_Eqn if you like. There's an example in EEsof Knowlegde Center which contains a S20P_Eqn and a S24P_Eqn:
The above link doesn't work. Can you pls send me some info about this example? Or, can you give me some key words about it? I'm working on the exactly same problem. Thx. My email is "andrew_0056@126.com"
Actually, you don't need this example anymore. If you want to insert (for example) an S8P_Eqn component, just type *S8P_Eqn* into the component name entry field in the upper left area of the schematic window. Up to at least *S20P_Eqn* works.
Thanks. It works by typing "S8P_Eqn" beside the library icon. I'm curious whether there is an introductory material for creating such kind of self-made component.
at least for two port conversion to 4port conversion i use the "touchstone combiner" (in a schematic window select Tools==> Data File Utilities ==> Touchstone combiner". I would assume this is working for 4 to 8port conversion too ?!?

You could even use the S20P_Eqn, e.g. only use 8 of the ports - or you could use the example as a staring point for creating your own S8P_Eqn.
