Hi,
Can anyone comment if 'Vibration during the transportation of the instrument' is a factor that can effect the instrument measurement accuracy?
Can it induce an error of upto 4 to 5 dB in measurement?
Regards,
Green.

Current shipping signal analyzers are tested to perform under certain vibration and shock conditions. Please look in your instruments Specification Guide under the Environmental and Military Specification sections. You should see something similar to MIL-PRF-28800F Class 3. You can then look into the appropriate mil standard specification and see if you are exceeding these test limits.
In general however, I would not expect a 4 dB or other error during normal environment shake and shock in a properly functioning instrument.
