We're using numerous U2000A power meters with Dell T3500 PCs on our test floor running WinXP SP2. We've been having an issue with the U2000 for as long as anyone can remember where the PC will not complete a reboot with the U2000 plugged in. The system begins to shut down but then hangs after the 'Windows is Shutting Down' dialog disappears, leaving us with a blue screen that remains UNTIL we unplug the U2000 (or hard power down the system by holding the power button) at which point the PC finishes the shut down process.
Has anyone else experienced this and is anyone aware of a fix? Thanks.

We have not seen this specific problem before. There have been two instances in the last three years where a user with a Dell computer cannot shut down their PC with the U2000 series of USB power sensors connected to a USB port. But no other user with another manufacture's computer has had this problem. Agilent has tried to duplicate this problem with Dell computers as well as other computers but we have not been successful.
I would suggest that you get in contact with the Agilent Technical Support engineers at 1-800-829-4444 for further assistance. They may be able to help. Please be prepared with information on the USB senosr and the Dell computer and O/S.
