I'm trying to setup Agilent Web Remote Control SA software to control the ESA 4403B analyser. The analyzer is connected to the PC via Prologix GP-IB Ethernet Controller.
WIs anybody using such a configuration ?
My problem is that during the Installation of the Software, there is a Configure session during which the software tries to establish communucation with the SA and fails, so I cannot acomplish the installation.
When usin other tools (also from Agilent) I can send commands and receive correct responses from the SA.
Does anybody know the reason or better a solution to the problem ?

I have to assume the installation instructions were followed carefully. The Java version is up to date and the Apache server loaded into the server PC correctly.
Here are the two most common mistakes:
1) Both the instrument server and the Apache server must be running before trying to connect.
2) When you open your web browser, be sure to type in the IP address of the server PC.
I hope this helped -
