35665A Dynamic Signal Analyser - Bus Error

I have a 35665A signal analyser that fails at boot up with the message BUS ERROR FC=5 RW=0 SZ=1. Any ideas how to troubleshoot this?

Typically, the information to troubleshoot these types of errors is in the Service Guide for the analyzer. If you have the 35665A service guide, there is a separate troubleshooting section in it which will address this type of an issue. Agilent doesn't have an online version of this manual but you can buy a hard copy of it from companies such as Manuals Plus (
) who have a repository of old HP/Agilent manuals.
