I am uisng *SRE to set the value of the service request enable register.
If I use the command *SRE 192 to activate bits 6 and 7 of the register and I immediately read the value of the register using *SRE?, I get 128.
I also tried to only activate bit 6  by using *SRE 64 and after that the value I am getting back by using *SRE? is zero.
It seems that bit number 6 is never set by the *SRE command.
Am I doing something wrong?. This seems very straightforward, I am only setting the value of the service request enable register using *SRE <value> and reading it back using *SRE?
Why is bit 6 not being set in these cases?
I am using a E4405B
Firware Revision: A.14.01.

Any help would be appreciated.
