I've been using Agilent Command Expert for a while, and it seems to be a great program. I was looking for a extremely light-weight SCPI script program with autocomplete. While ACE is not as lightweight as I hoped it to be, the autocomplete makes it a winner to me.
Anyway, is it possible to easily generate the SCPI database from the SCPI Programming Guide? The 2000/3000X series is already at firmware 2.0, but the available database is still at 1.20. Since the help contents is identical to the SCPI Guide, I wonder if user can generate the database themselves from the SCPI guide, without waiting for Agilent to update it.

As I understand things, the answer is no. The current process is mostly automated, but every change requires some manual intervention. Over time, that intervention will get to be less and less, but...
For the moment, if you need to use some scope capabilities that are in Version 2.0, then you will have to use CE to get you most of the way there, then manually edit the output yourself.
