Occasionally my 54512B scope powers up with a message that says 1111 EXCEPTION. The message also says to repower the scope while holding in any button to clear the error. This always works and all the self tests always pass. This seems to happen after the scope has been unplugged for a while.
Is this a common symptom for a problem, such as needing to replace the internal lithium battery?

The self tests just test portions of the acquisition board. the self tests do not check the NV RAM. I hope this helps you out.
