ABB Transient Recorder SE 560 via IEE 488

Hi all,

I have a problem in communication with my ABB Transient Recorder SE 560 over GPIB IEE 488 and Agilent IO Connection Expert. So far I have developed 2 applications in VEE for 2 different HP scopes - one via IEEE 488.1 and one via IEEE 488.2, but this one (ABB TR SE 560) is slightly different.

First of all, what kind of language it uses - some abb internal!? Shouldn't it be all the same for all IEEE 488? I know that commands for 488.1 and 488.2 interfaces differ (eg. id or idn?), but how to identify my instrument? Agilent IO Connection Expert finds this instrument, but any query command stays without reply! I've tried few query commands such as OC(output clock), XM (measured data transfer), DD (data dump), etc. Does it look familiar to anyone? Anyone have experience with this (or similar) instrument?

I'll appreciate any help!

Thanks ahead,
