From the following question you may gather that programming and instrumentation is not my best feature. I am currently looking to set-up connection to Agilent PNA N5230A network analyser via ethernet cable to my laptop. I've been trying to scan for hardware through the instrumentation control tool box but have been unable to identify the analyser when scanning for the instrument. I believe this simple connection is probably too easy to be true and thus am missing something else and the interface cannot be done simply by connecting laptop to PNA via cable.

I'm hoping to set-up interface so i can transfer PNA marker measurements to MATLAB thus am stuck on this first step.
Would appreciate the help with this.
