Calibration and Unequal Cable Lengths.

I was reading an old HP application note and the two port, experimental test set up, required equal physical lengths that are connected to each port.

Reading this old app note caused  me to wonder about the error correction, calibration programming, on my 8753.    Since I am not privy to directly read this information,  a question about SOLT calibration using my  8753C and S parameter test set has arisen.

Agilent sells phase matched cables (I own a couple of pairs) but if a condition arose where I had to use cables which were not phase matched and the cables were of unequal physical length but I used an agilent calibration kit such as the 85031B on the ends of the cable, would my calibration still be valid?
