Will all my programs for controlling my 8753 work directly with an ENA?
Other manufacturers have an 8753 emulator mode.
Is this unnecessary for the ENA?

Unfortunately the answer to your question is No.
The ENA does have an 8753 Code Translator (CxL) macro that can be received from your local Agilent representative. This macro does require some additional modification to help your code function properly. The modifications are necessary because there are some commands that do not have an ENA replacement command or it could have muliple replacement commands.
