"If I verify the ecal module and the verification passes do we really need to periodically calibrate the ecal module as long as the ecal module continues to pass verification?"
"Dr_Joel, DaveBWith PNA E8361A and precision cal kits and verf kits available in user calibration lab what screening tests can and can't be done to confirm proper function of an ECal kit?Same question would apply to mechanical kits turned in to central lab after short term use.We need to verify that calibration and function are still good, and sort out 'bad' units for return or replacement. Thanks"
"Hi Dr. Blackham,We've made some progress toward this comparison to sort out bad kits for repair.Compare error terms sounded simple [before I started reading.] Am I overlooking something straight forward or do I need to use external cal software? If so commercial software to compare two first tier cals or NIST software for 2 tier calibration? Is there a standard metric for differences in error sets? Also, are guided data based mechanical calibrations error sets switch corrected? 85052D on E836xB,CThanks Karl"
"Hi again Dr. B,Should I have done a vector difference? Should I step so data matches the mechanical kit cal points? I did 801 points Should IF be very low? Recommendations are appreciated!I still have the *.cal filesThanks,Karl"
