Using the PNA N3383A with MCX connectors

NA is a PNA N3383A with N-to-SMA male cables.
Cal Kit is 85033E.

Need to do input matching at 2.3 GHz.
The DUT has a single MCX jack (female).

Present cal procdure
1. Do Unguided 1-port cal on the SMA male connector.
2. Connect SMA male to MCX plug adapter.
3. Connect MCX plug to MCX jack mounted on a PCB and open circuited.
4. Adjust delay to obtain ~ 0 degree phase.

Notes
1. If I connect the SMA cable to an SMA female that is mounted on a PCB and open circuited, the phase is 88 degrees.
2. If I connect the SMA cable to an SMA female that is mounted on a PCB and shorted, the phase is -142 degrees.

Is this a good procedure?
The PNA help says that the delay obtained in this fashion is twice that of the connector. Should I use half the delay value?
Is there a better way to improve accuracy?
