Error measuring unmatched impedance

Question asked by jsl on Mar 16, 2007

New to these kind of measurements, I face a problem, and I didn't find any answer in the user guide or forums, maybe you can help me.

I have an ENA 5062 analyser. I usually measure some shunts of about 1 or 2 ohms until 3 GHz. Before doing this measurement, I perform a "Enhanced Calibration" with optional isolation, IFBW is 100Hz and I use an averaging to get a better accuracy according to the spreadsheet.

My problem is, when I insert my shunt after the calibration, I always become 6 dB more than the expected/calculated value.

Does anybody can explain me ? provide a solution ?

Sorry if I disturb with a ridiculous question for the experts-
Best regards
