Hi, Could anyone tell me what type of bulkhead that is (see picture) I would like to buy an adapter to APC-7 so I can connect to my HP 8753D network analyser.

This is what you need.
85050-20001 collet
5060-0370 collet extractor
8710-1770 Coupling assembly removal tool
HP 11591A APC-7 Connector Tool Kit (obsolete)

If you need to shim the connector to get the pin depth right, you will need to find shims elsewhere.
Or if you have a cache of old 7 mm parts, you might be able to reuse shims from them.
Hi Drew
I have considered my options, and given price and availability, it might
be cheaper and safer to replace the test port coupler entirely
(HP5086-7489). I can find them on ebay for half the price of the took
kit for the connectors.
What I do not have however is a manual describing how to strip the frame
and replace the part. I'll post a request on the board and see if
somebody has done it before.

That is the base of an APC-7 mm connector. The outer part has been removed. You should be able to buy an APC-7 connector, or any part with an APC-7 on it to get the part to replace it. But you might need some 7 mm connector shims to set the pin depth so it isn't protruding. And that will require a 7 mm connector gage and zero block. And since 7 mm pin depth has to be measured with the collet removed, you will need a collet extractor, or a replacement collet after you destroy the one in it trying to get the collet out any other way.
