Hello all, I am using agilent 34970A. I want to get the voltage waveform from a function generator operating at a frequency of over 1kHz. Is it possible to get the waveform using the 34970A dcV measurement?

Hi,
the maximum sampling frequency for 34970A (+34901A) is close to 600 samples / s, for a 1 kHz waveform, the minimum sampling frequency must be greater than 2000 samples / s for a sine waveform. Depending on your application, it is possible to reconstruct the signal if it is repetitive. But I already did this test and I found that the bandwidth of 34970A was around 1 kHz at -3 dB.
The 34970A is really a great instrument, I have been using it for many years now, but it has its limits. The DAQ970A with the DAQ901A have more speed, up to 5000 samples/sec.
