Hello!
Somebody asked last year about that issue, so i will ask it again.
I have noticed on my 34410A a problem which is more frequent if i choose continuity mode, and than select resistance mode, on the display i do get a message "AUTO RANGE", but the multimeter stays in GOhm range if i connect a resistor e.g. 50k or if i short the probes.
Same issue is reported here:
Hi, I have the same problem with my 34410A with firmware 2.43. I don't know for you, but for me, it's an intermittent problem and most of the time is OK.
It's rare, but sometime, at power up only, DCV function have the same problem without touching anything.
Same issue is reported here: Problem with switching autorange 34410A
So what is the cause of this issue?
Thank you!
Hi,
we have same problem with 3 devices. Older firmware has same issue.
Some relevant statement will be nice.
It seem like start-up feature in DCV: when Input is in short, it shows 000.000 mVDC,
but when cables are unconnected sometime it is like 1000V range and show
0000.00 VDC.
