I want to know the scattering parameter of a two-port system. How do I do it in ADS?
For example, I want to know the S11 of the one-port system below. How do I do it?

Open the Simulation-S_Param palette. You need to place a Term element as the source, and place an SP simulation controller (S_Param).
I case you are not aware ADS ships with a whole set of virtual instrument controllers for such simulations. Therefore if you a familiar with using a hardware Network Analyzer or similar you should be able to work with these virtual instruments in a similar straight-forward way.
Look in the "Simulation - Instruments" palette or component library and you will find a set of 2port and 4port NWAs, a 2port Differential Input NWA, Instruments to collect S-parameters vs Bias for both FETs and BJTs and also Curve Tracers for FETs and BJTs plus more.
All you need to do is place the symbol for the appropriate instrument, connect the device or circuit under test and configure the required set-up data (sweep, bias and termination settings etc.) and it should all work to generate the configured simulation data. There is no need to place Terminations or Simulation Controllers etc.as all these controls are embedded in the virtual instrument.
