Be sure you have set the power management settings correctly in the BIOS. If not, it will not turn back on after powering off. From the 54855A service manual:
1 Go to Load Setting 2 Defaults and press Enter key. Select Y to load the defaults of BIOS Setting 2 and press the Enter key. 2 If you have a power board part number **54855-66502** then perform the following steps. Otherwise, go to step 7. 3 Go to Power Management Setup and press the Enter key. 4 Select the PWORN After PWR-Fail setting and press the Enter key. 5 Select the Off option and press the Enter key. 6 Return to the CMOS Setup Utility by pressing the Esc key. 7 Press F10 to save and exit the setup. Type “Y” to save changes.
