Power Sweep: Launching Source Power Cal and Guided Cal?

Question asked by htnicolas on Aug 12, 2011
Hi there,

I am currently writing a LabVIEW program to control a PNA 8364C, and a few issues arose along the way; perhaps someone can help me.
I wish to perform a Power Sweep.

Here are the commands I am successfully sending so far:

SYSTem:PRESet
SENS:SWEEP:TYPE CW
SENS:FREQ:CW 3000000000
SENSe:SWEep:TYPE POWer
SOURCE:POWER:START 0DBM;STOP 12DBM

At this point, I want to launch the Source Power Cal (an external power meter would be attached to the PNA).
I could not locate a command for this. Am I supposed to do it manually through the panel menu? (Response>Cal>Power Cal>Source Power Cal)?

Another issue I stumbled on is with initiating a guided calibration:

SENSe:CORRection:PREFerence:CSET:SAVE [CALR | USER | REUS]
SENSe<ch>:CORRection:COLLect:GUIDed:INITiate [string[, bool]]

The help says that for [string]:

"If specified, choose an existing Cal Set, either by name or by GUID.

If NOT specified, behavior depends on the SENS:CORR:PREFerence:CSET:SAVE setting."

However, whatever the [char] setting is ( [CALR | USER | REUS] ), I get the following error:

"Error 192 "Guided Cal initilalization failed" "

How do I initiate a guided calibration?
Would you recommend having the user perform that part manually?

Thank you in advance,

Nicolas
