B2902A Level Trigger Output

Question asked by Lauri on Aug 21, 2019

Hello,

i want to source a Voltage-value list with the B2902 Precision Source/ Measure Unit with the internal timer and provide a level trigger to the EXT1 pin. I've created a running example that provides a 10Hz square-wave by switching in between 1V and -1V and also sends an edge trigger to EXT1 pin:

(Connect "B2902A", "GPIB0::23::INSTR", "B2900 Series Precision Source / Measure Unit / 1.0")
:SOURce1:FUNCtion:MODE VOLTage
:SOURce1:VOLTage:MODE LIST
:SOURce1:VOLTage:RANGe:AUTO 1
:SENSe1:FUNCtion:ON "CURRent"
:SOURce1:LIST:VOLTage 1,-1
:SENSe1:RESistance:MODE AUTO
:SENSe1:RESistance:OCOMpensated 1
:SENSe1:CURRent:DC:PROTection:LEVel 0.02
:OUTPut1:PROTection:STATe 1
:SENSe1:CURRent:DC:RANGe:AUTO 1
:SENSe1:CURRent:DC:NPLCycles:AUTO 1
:TRIGger1:ALL:SOURce:SIGNal TIMer
:TRIGger1:TRANsient:TIMer 0.05
:TRIGger1:TRANsient:COUNt MAXimum
:TRIGger1:ACQuire:TIMer 0.05
:TRIGger1:ACQuire:COUNt 1
:TRIGger1:ACQuire:DELay 0.025
:SOURce1:DIGital:EXTernal1:FUNCtion TOUTput
:SOURce1:DIGital:EXTernal1:POLarity POSitive
:SOURce1:DIGital:EXTernal1:TOUTput:TYPE EDGE
:SOURce1:TOUTput:SIGNal EXT1
:SOURce1:TOUTput:STATe 1
:INITiate:IMMediate:ALL
(Wait 1000ms)
:ABORt:ALL
:OUTPut1:STATe 0

This works fine with the EDGE trigger output. Whenever i change the line
:SOURce1:DIGital:EXTernal1:TOUTput:TYPE EDGE
to
:SOURce1:DIGital:EXTernal1:TOUTput:TYPE LEV

the EXT1 Pin just remains on low level. Whats the correct way to provide a level trigger instead?
I've uploaded a command expert file with my example in the appendix.

Thanks for any help!
