I was wondering if there were any known issues with enabling Bitocker on a Windows 10 PNA. Here is a list of models that we currently use:
I'm sorry, but we don't have any experience with Bitlocker on the PNA. It might work, but I'm also worried that it may ruin the recovery partition. I would first clone the hard drive before attempting to turn it on.
I can clone the HD, no problem.
Can I apply the clone to other PNAs if they are the same make and model?
A bit late getting to this, but post back if you had a problem. You can generally do that , but you have to be slightly careful with licensing. The licensing is held on protected memory in the PNA on the motherboard, but also a copy is on the harddrive. You may need to delete the copy of the license file (gen.lic), or change it's name, on the clone drive to properly recover licenses on the unit you move it too. I don't remember for sure, but I think if you don't do this, the gen.lic doesn't match the hardware unit and all the licenses get turned off. But if you delete the gen.lic, there is a process to regenerate it at boot up from the memory in the PNA.
Thank you Dr. Joel,
How do I backup the gen.lic license?
